    NJ Volunteer With Professional Baseball Background

    A resident of Atlantic Highlands, NJ, Darren Stumberger has a background in professional baseball and volunteers with young athletes as a coach and instructor. Over the years, Darren Stumberger has worked with thousands of children between ages 7-15 in NJ and other East Coast states. He has assisted them in improving fundamentals and gaining strategic insights into the game.

    Having excelled as a baseball player in high school, Mr. Stumberger was drafted in 1990 by the Chicago Cubs and subsequently completed undergraduate studies at the University of South Florida. His on-the-field Division 1 accomplishments during this time led to selection as an All American. He was also recognized as an All-Region Metro Conference player in 1993.

    In 1994, Mr. Stumberger was selected in the 19th round of the Major League Baseball June Amateur Draft by the Cleveland Indians. Darren Stumberger's career with the organization lasted 6 years, during which time he played in nearly 600 games and maintained a batting average of .288.
